He صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: “The remembrance of Allah.”

(Tirmidhi, 3377; Ibn Majah, 3790)

6. Uqbah ibn Amir (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم once came

out while we were in the courtyard of the mosque. He said: “Which of you would like to go out every morning to Buthan or Al-Aqiq and bring back two large-humped she-camels without committing sin or severing ties of kinship?”

We said: “O Messenger of Allah, we would love that.” He said: “Then let one of you go to the mosque and learn or recite two verses from the Book of Allah, for that is better than two she-camels. And three verses are better than three she-camels, and so on.” (Muslim, 803)

7. “Any gathering in which Allah is not remembered will be a source of regret and sorrow for the people in it.” (Abu Dawood, 4856)
