Dhikr Before Wudu
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ
In the Name of Allah
Bismillah
It is Sunnah to say “Bismillah” or “Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim” before performing wudu.
A hadith states: “The wudu of the one who does not mention the name of Allah at its beginning is not valid.” [1]

Dhikr After Wudu #1
I bear witness that there is no true deity except Allah alone, without any partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.
Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasooluhu
‘Umar (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “If anyone performs wudu properly and completely, then recites this dhikr, all eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he may enter through whichever of them he wishes.”
