He Chased Jobs for 3 Years, Then a Du’a Changed His Life
After completing his graduation, he spent three years running after jobs.
Submitted CVs, attended interviews, followed up… but didn’t get a single call.
One day, he went to the imam (hujur) of a mosque.
The imam calmly said:
— “Just recite this du’a three times every day after Fajr prayer.
I won’t say whether you’ll get a job or not… but ‘Rizq’ (sustenance) will find you itself.”
Du’a:
اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
“O Allah! Make me content with Your halal provision instead of the haram,
and make me self-sufficient by Your grace so I’m not dependent on anyone else but You.”
(While reciting, he would close his eyes and visualize his future.)
After 40 days…
A friend said to him,
— “Let’s start a small online page. We’ll sell cosmetics.”
The young man replied, “But I don’t have any money.”
The friend said, “Just keep making the du’a — you just stay focused.”
6 months later…
That young man had his own brand —
Hundreds of thousands of followers on Facebook, and 4 employees.
He went to that imam and said:
— “Hujur, till today I haven’t received any job offer.
But now, I myself am hiring others.”
Lesson:
“Du’a isn’t just asking —
Du’a is pulling your destiny closer from Allah.”
So, what do you prefer — a job or a business?
