Hadith from Sohih Bukhari
Narrated from ‘Alqamah ibn Waqqas al-Laythi (RA):
I heard ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) standing on the pulpit saying: I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) say: Deeds (will be rewarded) only according to intentions, and every person will get the reward according to what he intended. So, whoever emigrated for worldly gain or to marry a woman, his emigration will be for that for which he emigrated.

Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 1
Hadith Status: Sahih Hadith
Narrated from Umm al-Mu’minin ‘A’ishah (RA):
Harith ibn Hisham (RA) asked Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ), “O Messenger of Allah! How does the revelation come to you?” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: Sometimes it comes to me like the ringing of a bell, and that is the most difficult for me; when it ceases, I remember whatever the angel has said. And sometimes the angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me, and I remember whatever he says.
‘A’ishah (RA) said: I have seen it descend upon him on a very cold day, and when it ended, his forehead would be dripping with sweat.

Narrated from Umm al-Mu’minin ‘A’ishah (RA):
She said: The first form of revelation to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) was true dreams in his sleep; whatever dream he saw came like the brightness of dawn. Then seclusion became beloved to him, and he would spend time in isolation in the cave of Hira. He would remain there in worship for several days in a row before returning to his family to take provisions for another stay. Then he would return to Khadijah (RA) to take the same provisions again.
While he was in the cave of Hira, the revelation came to him. The angel came to him and said: “Read.” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “I said: I do not know how to read.” He said: Then he took hold of me and pressed me so hard that I found it difficult to bear, then he released me and said: “Read.” I said: “I do not know how to read.” He took hold of me again and pressed me so hard that I found it difficult to bear, then released me and said: “Read.” I said: “I do not know how to read.”
Then he took hold of me a third time and pressed me, then released me and said:
“Read in the name of your Lord Who created – created man from a clot. Read, and your Lord is the Most Generous.” (Surah Al-‘Alaq 96:1–3)
Then Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) returned with the revelation, his heart trembling.
He came to Khadijah bint Khuwaylid and said, “Cover me with a cloak, cover me with a cloak.” They covered him with a cloak until his fear subsided. Then he informed Khadijah (RA) of the incident and said to her, “I fear something may happen to me.”
Khadijah (RA) said: “By Allah, never! Allah will never disgrace you. You maintain good relations with your relatives, bear the burden of the helpless, help the poor, honor your guests, and assist those afflicted by calamity in the path of truth.”
Then Khadijah (RA) took him to her cousin Waraqah ibn Nawfal ibn ‘Abd al-Asad ibn ‘Abd al-‘Uzza, who had embraced Christianity in the pre-Islamic era. He could write in Hebrew, and he used to write from the Gospel in Hebrew as Allah willed. He was very old and had lost his eyesight.
Khadijah (RA) said to him: “O cousin! Listen to the words of your nephew.” Waraqah asked him, “Nephew, what have you seen?” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) described to him all that he had seen.
Waraqah then said to him: “This is the same messenger whom Allah sent to Musa (AS). I wish I were young when that time comes. I wish I could be alive on the day your people will drive you out.”
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) asked: “Will they drive me out?” He said: “Yes. Whenever anyone came with something similar to what you have brought, he was met with hostility. If I am alive on that day, I will support you strongly.”
A short while later, Waraqah (RA) passed away, and the revelation ceased for a time.
